“A Lusty Novel About FLORIDA CRACKERS” Sold. You are dying to crack this open and you know it. I have a bunch of illustrations from pulp paperbacks that are all kinds of awesome. They all seem to have a woman on the cover with some torn, or unbuttoned, blouse on. A couple are just in underwear, wrapped in a bed sheet, or in the buff, but that was obviously reserved for the really raunchy stuff. And they all have some creepy guy lurking in the picture ready to partake in some nefarious act. It was definitely a formula. Hot woman: Check. Racy tag line: Check. Some creepy, lecherous, scumbag: Check.
Side note: She is obviously outdoors to grab the laundry, but the shirts in the basket are perfectly folded and starched. It looks like she just filled that basket up at a Macys men’s sale.
I will have to post some more of these. They crack me up.
Masto.

BWAHAHAHA – “FLORIDA CRACKERS.” Funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. The shirts take the cake though.
Love how they’re not just any crackers, they’re FLORIDA CRACKERS. And they’re barefoot. And that’s some lamb.
You’d love Kayo Books here in SF:

Check the gallery. (Look for the clown.)
I recall Erskine Caldwell’s *Tobacco Road* having a pretty racy cover in one of its early editions.
Hmmm…googling…yes, here’s a whole collection:

Yeah, well, lots of creepy, lecherous scumbags have been a little moonshined up and tried to take advantage of some Florida Cracker picking up perfectly folded shirts off the line … that doesn’t make me (er… them) all bad people.

Well….I’m in Altoona Florida right this very second. I’m sure there’s said Florida Crackers as far as the eye can see…My eye’s are just waaay to freaking bloodshot from jet lag right now. I’ll keep ya posted and try to get ya a shot of Tommy’s Shucker Shack in the next couple days. I’ll be here another couple weeks they say…Cracks me up, saw this pic last week in No. Nevada and here I am. I’ll git’cha some bioled peanuts if I go thru PHX inbound to the homestead!
