Miss Smog Fighter 1951
Okay, sure. Not exactly sure what Miss Smog Fighter would do to combat air pollution but what the hell. If she wants the job it’s all hers. They could probably eradicate smog by putting the stopper back on the bottle. But hey, that’s just me, I’m a problem solver.

After the success of Miss Sea Legs, Miss Tramp Steamer, didn’t seem like such a bad idea after all.

Boy I bet that was a close race. Must have been a real nail biter. *rolls eyes* Come on people. What, did they all ready have a Miss Long Beach and just grabbed some girls off the street to make it look like they had some kind of pageant happening to drum up some publicity. My God if those were the runners up I would love to see what the rest the field looked like.

Miss Auto Industry 1952
Two things I love about this photo. One, the conversation that took place immediately before.
“Hey, the auto industry broad and that old guy are here for the publicity stills. I need clean background. Anything around here?”
“Yeah, 3rd floor. Storage closet at the end of the hall.”
“Alright folks, follow me.”
And that outfit is all kinds of something. Seriously, if she had on a bigger, floppier, cap and some knee high striped rainbow socks on with roller skates she would look like an extra from “Xanadu”.

These guys look almost giddy. Like they can’t believe a real live woman actually showed up to play along with them. You get the feeling this started as a bar room conversation they can’t believe they just pulled off.
“How bout Miss Dry Dock?”
“No, no, that won’t do… how bout Miss Tramp Steamer?”
“No… mmm… I got it, how bout Miss Sea Legs?”
“Yes! Bob you are a goddamn genius!”"
