wasting bandwidth since 2005

Well judging by the IOTW calender it’s July of 09′. First post in August 08′, 46 posts later, you do the math. Okay , so I have been less than diligent than anticipated. Especially in the last couple months. Well I thought I would make a return of sorts. So here we go.

Shot this with my phone walking around the neighborhood last night. I never tried any of the goofy little filters that come with the camera app. I thought it looked kinda cool and as such is now my phone background as well. I will definitely have to play around with these filters a little more. Fun stuff.

Okay it’s been a couple months. I made a valiant effort after the first, but work caught up again. Things are moving into a groove so I can now manage a little time for posting. Time to get back on the old horse, sort of speaking. It seems funny that after a little while it seems to get harder to jump back into it. So I just need to jump back in with both feet. Here’s to getting off your ass.

Well here it is the end of another year. There has been a lot of changes here over the last 12 months, and unfortunately, a lot of nothing in the last 3. I forgot how time consuming being self employed was. As of the beginning of September I left my previous employer and went back out on my own. I have finally gotten into a groove so it’s back to committing some of my evening hours posting my little additions to the world of cultural footnotes and other ephemera. So for the New Year I have a bunch of stuff cued up to continue the assortment of odds and ends I have all ready started. So here’s hoping everyone has much success and happiness in the coming year. And hope to see you drop by occasionally for a peek at the goofiness.

Well it’s been 2 months since the last post. What started as my yearly redesign turned into a, redesign, major WordPress update, then because of the major update a redesign of the redesign. Throw in another handful pf projects, work, and life in general, the next thing you know it’s 2 months later. Well happy to say the site is much improved and is looking better. Still trying to shake out the last of the funky bugs that you always seem to be finding. So starting this evening the posting shall commence. I will straighten out my coding gaffs as I find them. I have a bunch of stuff to continue and a couple new sets of doodads to throw out there. So if you see anything that is messed up let me know otherwise sit back and let it roll.

Well the first quarter of this year is over and I am post-less so far. Couple other projects etc… I will not bore you all with my excuses. But I will say I am ready to waste more bandwidth with my particularly absurd interests in the cultural roadkill, I seem to enjoy so much. I have had to put a hold on what I thought was going to be my next addition “Snapshots of Exploitation” because it has proven to be more time consuming than originally thought. So in the mean time I will be adding something else I seem to have ran across. In browsing the old Herald Examiner photo archives from the 50′s and 60′s, amidst the hard hitting news events of the day, they seemed to have sent a photographer out to get pictures of every beauty contest that ever existed. This brought a lot of “you got to be kidding me” responses from myself. So I thought I would share. So I will now bring you my latest installment “Beauty Queens”
