(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais

Another perfect example why downloads, or even CD’s for that matter, will never be as cool as vinyl. Face it, a digital file is just not that fun as a fetish item. This Clash 7″ of “(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais” from 1978 is classic. Over the next couple of weeks or so I will post some more great examples for you to gawk at.

Enjoy.

Okay back from Chicago and getting caught up with work so it’s time to get on with the posting.

After watching “American hardcore” last week it made me remember some great shows I had the pleasure to see back in the day. This being one. I believe it was with Social Distortion. I do remember being up against the stage and having my nose broken by a pair of Doc Martins, that at the time were being inhabited by some 6 foot punk being forcibly ejected from the stage and right into my face. Ah… good times. Just for grins thought I would see if there was anything about this show online and I found some tidbits. Not about that concert but about the one a week earlier at the Olympic Auditorium with D.I. and Aggression. I was there also but that time I didn’t leave with any injury that I can recall. Here is a sample of that show.

I will have to post some more of this kind of stuff. I have some items here and there from back in the day and nothing like that small reminder you were once young, stupid, out of control, and loving every minute of it.
